Privacy policy

This policy follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revDSG, in force since 1 September 2023). Last updated: TODO: date of publication

1. Who is responsible

The controller for the processing described here is:

2. What data we collect on this website

Visiting the site. Our web server logs technical data for each request: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser and operating system. We use it to run the site securely. TODO: log retention period, for example 14 days
Forms. When you ask for a trial or a demo, we store your company name, your email address, the consent text you agreed to and the time you sent it.
Email and phone. When you write or call us, we keep your message and contact details to answer you.

The site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. Fonts are served from our own server, not loaded from third parties. TODO: update this if analytics is added

3. Why we process it

To answer your request and arrange a trial or demo.
To run this website and keep it secure.
To meet legal duties, for example keeping business records.

We do not sell your data and do not use it for profiling.

4. Who receives it

We use service providers who process data on our behalf and under contract (processors).

5. Data abroad

TODO: list each country outside Switzerland where data is stored (for example Germany or Finland for an EU host). For countries the Federal Council recognises as adequate, such as EU and EEA states, no further safeguard is needed. For any other country, name the safeguard used, for example standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep it

Form and contact data: as long as needed to answer you, and at most TODO: period, for example 24 months after our last contact unless you become a customer. Business records: as long as Swiss law requires (generally 10 years).

7. Your rights

Under the revDSG you can, free of charge in most cases:

ask which data we hold about you (right of access),
have wrong data corrected,
have your data deleted or its processing restricted,
withdraw a consent you gave, with effect for the future,
receive data you gave us in a common electronic format (data portability).

Write to hello@ruufd.ch. We may ask you to prove your identity. You can also complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, in German EDÖB) at edoeb.admin.ch.

8. Customer data in the Ruufd app

This policy covers the website. Data you put into the Ruufd app (quotes, prices, jobs) is processed on your behalf under a separate data processing agreement. TODO: link to the terms and data processing agreement

9. Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). App data is isolated per company. Access is limited to people who need it.

10. Changes

We update this policy when our processing changes. The current version is always on this page. See also our imprint.
